History[]
Local 58 was founded in the year 1928[1] in Mason County, West Virginia, USA[2], serving the fictional towns Edenvale, Lasker City and Ichor Falls. Its origins are unknown.
Presumably during the 1960s (under the Lyndon Johnson administration), a nationwide government-issued message was made in the case of the United States surrendering to an enemy force. Somewhere during that time period, Local 58 was hijacked at the end of its broadcast day by an unknown intruder, who aired that message in the middle of the night.
On November 21, 2014, the station was hijacked again. It played clips of a driving vehicle that eventually got chased and made to crash by an unknown object.
At an unknown time period, an Emergency Alert System message was aired where the county tells people not to go outside, look at mirrors, or look up. However, someone trying to hijack the program instead encourages the viewers to view it.
The channel's last hijack is eventually telling people to look away and check out other receivers instead.
